How to select a digital TV antenna
1. Confirm the frequency range
Match the antenna to the actual broadcast channels and television system in the target country.
2. Choose indoor or outdoor
Indoor placement is simpler; outdoor placement changes mounting, cable, grounding and environmental requirements.
3. Decide passive or active
Use amplification to address a measured system need, not as a substitute for correct frequency and placement.
4. Check direction
Directional models suit known transmitter directions; other layouts may need a different reception approach.
5. Complete the 75 Ω path
Confirm receiver input, coaxial cable, connectors, splitters and any amplifier as one system.
6. Send project details
Include country, channels, installation, cable, connector, quantity and documentation needs.
Compatibility and reception distance
“Digital TV” describes the application, not a universal frequency or distance guarantee. ATSC, DVB-T/T2, ISDB-T and DTMB markets can use different channel plans. Transmitter power, terrain, obstacles, antenna height, direction and cable loss also affect reception. Confirm the target system before ordering.
