Compact High-Power Array

The GL-DY150IS is the shortest four-bay folded dipole in the 134-173 MHz family at 5.0 m, yet it retains the full 500 W power rating. It is aimed at sites that need the high power handling and configurable coverage of a four-bay array but have limited mast height or want to reduce wind load and weight. The same omni 8.8 dBi or directional 11.8 dBi options are available depending on how the bays are arranged.

Why the Shorter Version

Trimming the structure to 5.0 m lowers the centre of pressure and the bending moment on the mast, which can be the deciding factor on lighter towers, rooftop poles or where planning limits overall height. The reduction comes with negligible performance change versus the standard 5.5 m model, so a site keeps its gain and its 500 W capability while gaining mechanical headroom. Broadband folded dipole elements maintain the match across the band under continuous high-power transmission.

Construction

The antenna provides a 50 ohm feed with a UHF or N-female connector and ships separated into two parts for transport and on-site assembly. A 60 m/s wind rating and weatherproof hardware support permanent service, and the vertical polarization matches land-mobile, paging and trunked networks.

Select GL-DY150IS when you need a four-bay array but want the most compact, lowest-wind-load option at full power. The GL-DY150I and GL-DY150IA are slightly taller, and the GL-DY150II steps up to eight bays. Confirm omni or directional configuration and the connector before ordering.
