The Top UHF Array

The GL-DYJ350F is the highest-gain antenna in the UHF Yagi family, a stacked array of two fifteen-element bays reaching 15.7 dBi across 330-390 MHz. By combining two already-long director arrays in a vertical stack, it achieves a gain figure normally associated with small dishes while keeping the broad frequency coverage and forgiving feed of a Yagi. It is the choice for the most demanding UHF paths.

Why Stack Fifteen-Element Bays

Each bay is itself a high-gain beam with a 30 degree vertical beamwidth; stacking two of them compresses the vertical lobe to a narrow 14 degrees horizontal in the stacked plane and adds the apertures for 15.7 dBi. The effect is to throw nearly all the energy along the horizon toward a distant station while strongly rejecting interference and multipath. The array can be polarized vertical or horizontal by its mounting to match the link partner exactly.

Mechanical Reality

The two bays are phased into a single 50 ohm feed on a UHF or N-female connector, rated for 100 W. With a 2.6 m boom per bay and a wide stacked frame, this is a large, high-wind-area structure that requires a robust mast, careful aiming and the full 60 m/s wind hardware for a stable, lasting install. It is built for permanent, high-availability service.

Selecting the Array

Specify GL-DYJ350F when only maximum gain will do. For lighter installations, the single-boom GL-DYJ350C, GL-DYJ350B and GL-DYJ350A trade gain for size and simpler mounting. Confirm band, polarization and mast capacity before deploying the array.
