A combination antenna puts several radios under one screw-mount housing. One hole in the roof instead of three, one gasket to worry about instead of three, and one part number on the bill of materials. The trade is that you have to be precise about what is inside it.

Which combination

GNSS plus two LTE paths for telematics (GL-DY046M). GNSS plus LTE plus dual-band Wi-Fi for connected gateways (GL-DY056). LTE plus 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for dual-radio terminals (GL-DY058W).

Active GPS element

GL-DY046M and GL-DY056 both use an active GNSS element, so the host has to supply bias on the coax. Confirm the voltage and current it can deliver before assuming a swap works.

Mount

All three models here are screw mount. Check hole size, panel thickness and how much clearance exists underneath, because three RG174 tails need somewhere to go.

Connectors per port

Usually one SMA male per function, but read the record: GL-DY058W lists a single SMA male, not two separate feeds. Do not design around an assumed feed count.

The bands that decide it

GL-DY046M

Active GNSS at 1575.42-1610 MHz plus two LTE elements covering 806-960 and 1710-2690 MHz, on three SMA male connectors with 3000 mm RG174 cables. The one to look at for a vehicle terminal that needs tracking and a 2×2 cellular link.

GL-DY056

Active GNSS at 1559-1606 MHz, LTE at 796-960 and 1710-2700 MHz, Wi-Fi at 2400-2483.5 and 5150-5850 MHz, on three SMA male connectors. Confirm your bands sit inside those ranges rather than just near them.

GL-DY058W

LTE at 806-960 and 1710-2690 MHz plus Wi-Fi at 2400-2483.5 MHz. The product record lists one SMA male. We will not guess how the two radios are combined internally, so treat the feed architecture as a sample question.

Common mistake

A multi-radio puck is not a 4×4 MIMO antenna

Several radio functions sharing one puck is not 4×4 MIMO. A real four-path cellular or Wi-Fi requirement needs four RF paths on the same radio, and that lives in the 4×4 MIMO antenna range. If your device mixes LTE, Wi-Fi and GNSS, count the paths for each radio separately and send us that list.

Sealing

Where the IP rating stops

All three models are listed as IP65-IP67 excluding the cable outlet. That exclusion is not fine print we can quietly drop. The housing is sealed; the point where the cables leave it is your installation’s problem, and so is the panel it sits on. Define which boundary your specification actually tests: housing, connector, cable outlet, feedthrough or the whole installed system.
