GL450Q8 selection guide
GL450Q8 is the higher-gain, higher-power option to compare with GL490G2 where the required frequencies overlap. That choice comes with a much longer, heavier antenna and a narrower vertical beam; check the mounting envelope and elevation requirement before prioritizing gain.
GL490G2 is the smaller candidate when the required frequencies fall within its range and its power limit is sufficient. The two ranges overlap only from 470 to 480 MHz, so neither model is a general replacement for the other.
